Havend is actively looking for a Solutions Specialist to build our insurance planning frameworks and thought leadership. You will play a key role in building upon Havend's philosophy on protection, retirement and legacy planning, translating evidence-based research into practical guidance, tools and training that empower our Insurance Specialists to deliver independent, comprehensive advice to clients. You will also play a crucial role in elevating the standards for product due diligence and suitability rigor and develop practitioner-grade content that sharpens best practice standards in insurance advisory.
The main functions of this exciting position include but are not limited to the following:
Research and frameworks
- Deepen Havend's philosophy, frameworks and methodologies for insurance planning
- Conduct deep research on market trends, regulations, consumers behaviour and their implications for comprehensive protection planning
- Develop adjacent domains, including retirement and legacy planning practices and methodologies
Product evaluation and governance
- Perform product due diligence and benchmarking (features and value)
- Conduct fit-and-proper assessments to curate products suitable for recommendation
Tools, training and enablement
- Maintain and enhance Havend's proprietary planning tools, reports and templates
- Deliver training and coaching as the subject matter expert to upskill the Insurance Specialist team
Thought leadership and content
- Produce content in writing to advance Havend's thought leadership
- Contribute to social media and media commentary
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will be someone who:
- Has a good bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Engineering or a related discipline
- Is proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Is passionate in empirical, evidence-based research and framework development
- Is analytical and detail-oriented with a growth mindset
- Is comfortable with change and ambiguity adaptable and resourceful
- Exhibits a strong sense of professional pride, ownership and follow-through
- Is a strong team player
