Are you an Instrumentation Engineer with prior experience in handling FPSO/FSO projects in a shipyard
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a 12 month contract (with a potential of another 6 months renewal) with rotation between China and Singapore.
Key responsibilities:
. Perform instrumentation engineering activities for assigned projects in line with company procedures, project requirements and approved schedules.
. Prepare and review instrument design basis, specifications, datasheets, instrument index, I/O list, cable schedule, JB schedule, hook-up drawings, loop drawings and related deliverables.
. Review P&IDs, control narratives, cause & effect charts, shutdown philosophy, functional logic diagrams and package interface documents.
. Review and drive engineering contractor deliverables, comments close-out, technical queries and timely issue of engineering documents.
. Support material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, vendor clarifications and purchase requisitions for instrument items and packages.
. Support ICSS / DCS / ESD / FGS interface definition, I/O allocation, serial / hardwired interface requirements and package integration activities.
. Review cable routing, cable tray / containment requirements, cable block diagrams, termination philosophy and field installation requirements for instrument systems.
. Have working knowledge of marine / hull packages including tank gauging, cargo and offloading systems, ballast systems, inert gas systems, fire water / foam systems, CO2 systems, hydraulic systems, vessel monitoring systems and mooring-related systems.
. Be familiar with key marine utility and support packages such as EDG / ADG / MDG, marine air and instrument air compressors, boilers, potable water / utility water systems, sewage treatment, RO / water maker systems, metering systems and HVAC accommodation interfaces.
. Coordinate closely with process, piping, mechanical, electrical, telecom, marine, yard, vendor and commissioning teams to close interface issues and punch points.
