Your role
Our major Oil & Energy Downstream Client is looking for Senior Inspection Engineer who will report to the Equipment Integrity Manager, develop technical solutions and technical assurance for safe operations of manufacturing site. You will provide asset owners PUDT with specialist inspection engineering support to deliver the site's Business Objectives.
- Provide day-to-day Inspection Engineering services & inputs for stationary equipment and associated piping support to Asset Owner following PEIM requirements. If necessary, will be the focal point to enlist and co-ordinate the use of consultants, contractors and other specialists
- Mentoring of junior Inspection Engineers with respect to PEIM process and competency in inspection engineering
- Supporting the Production Unit under his/her care in ensuring the technical integrity of the assets and the achievement of pacesetting levels of maintained availability, reliability and facility utilisation.
- Lead the team of Inspection Engineers and/or to ensure that all assets under his/her care comply with all statutory obligations and that the level of integrity enhances organization's reputation as a responsible corporate citizen determined to deliver sustainable development and HSSE leadership. Maintain independence and professionalism to gain recognition by the WSH, MOM, SCDF, NEA Singapore, that the department can determine the optimum frequency of inspection and maintenance of statutory equipment
- To work closely with the TA teams and following the best practices in turnaround maintenance, preparing work scopes in advance and helping optimise work scope to help ensure the best overall plant utilisation
- Support the alignment, standardization and improvement for inspection practices, guidelines and policies
- Provide advice on static equipment strategies in alignment with PEIM work process
- Responsible for developing and tracking of Key Performance of PEI related Indicators (KPIs) to measure/trend activities relating to site integrity performance
- Champion Asset Integrity Improvement project and initiative to ensure reliability and availability of production units
- To plan and perform pressure equipment integrity assurance and provide inspection services to respective PUDT, programs or projects
- Drive and sustain the implementation of MEC pressure equipment integrity process in line with the MEC requirements
- Support the implementation of other work processes such as MOC, ME, ESP and MTO
- To be a Technical Authority 3 in MMI - Inspection
- Support the Transformation journey with focus on asset integrity, increasing reliability improvement as well as managing and leading the site in providing technical support and assurance
- Balancing reliability and cost
- Aligning inspection process and practices that support Digital Transformation
- Significantly reduce the number of EI related-LOPC.
You are what we are looking for if you:
- Have Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Have minimum 25 years inspection engineering experience in oil refinery or petrochemical industry
- Have minimum 10 years of experience in Pressure Equipment Integrity Management
- Have experience in Turnaround scope optimisation for Static Equipment using Risk-based Inspection
- Have CSWIP Level-1 Plant Inspector certificate
- Have experience in preparing detailed scope for static Equipment and scope optimisation
- Have experience in leading a team
- Have good understanding and familiar with safety practices involved in pressure equipment and piping inspection as well as NDT activities
