Angle is partnering with a leading global shipping company to search for a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer, based in Singapore.
Headquartered in Singapore with operations across multiple international markets, our client has made significant investment in strengthening its cybersecurity and digital infrastructure capabilities. This role is a key appointment within the Corporate Infrastructure function and will play a critical part in safeguarding global systems and ensuring operational resilience.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Cybersecurity, Infrastructure & Operations, you will lead the design, implementation, and governance of secure infrastructure architecture across a complex, multi-region cloud environment.
As an IC, you will act as the SME for infrastructure security, working closely with key technology stakeholders and overseeing regional support teams to ensure the organisation's cloud and network environments remain secure, scalable, and resilient.
This is a hands-on engineering role with strong architectural ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Architecture
- Develop and maintain the enterprise infrastructure roadmap aligned with digital and cybersecurity strategy
- Design secure, high-availability and multi-zone cloud architectures
- Align infrastructure solutions with evolving business requirements and regulatory obligations (including PDPA where applicable)
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance security posture
- Establish and maintain disaster recovery and incident response frameworks
Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Oversee scalable, secure, and cost-optimised cloud and network environments
- Manage infrastructure lifecycle across multi-region deployments
- Optimise uptime, performance, and capacity planning
- Drive automation initiatives leveraging cloud-native capabilities
- Provide expert-level support for critical incidents
- Maintain and regularly test Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans
Security Engineering & Risk Management
- Architect scalable solutions to complex infrastructure security challenges
- Build proofs-of-concept and engineering solutions to mitigate risks at scale
- Embed preventive security controls into development workflows (shift left)
- Provide threat-informed guidance to engineering and application teams
- Conduct periodic IT security reviews and audits
- Monitor IT assets, licensing compliance, and governance frameworks
- Implement proactive risk mitigation strategies aligned with the global threat landscape
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience managing large-scale infrastructure and cloud environments
- Significant experience securing complex on-prem or cloud deployments
- Strong experience designing high-availability and redundancy architectures in cloud environments
- Deep understanding of networking, virtualization, automation, and cloud platforms
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, and endpoint protection solutions
- Experience securing containerised applications
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Exposure to DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering principles
- Strong communication skills to engage both technical and business stakeholders
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Preferred: AWS, Azure, O365, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, AWS Certified Security - Specialty
