Job Description

A Senior South Indian Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic South Indian dishes while maintaining the highest quality and hygiene standards. They should have extensive experience in South Indian cuisine, including dishes like dosa, idli, sambar, rasam, biryanis, and chutneys, and an understanding of traditional flavors, techniques, and ingredients. This role may include menu planning, staff training, and inventory management.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a South Indian cook, with at least 2 years in a senior role.

Proven expertise in preparing a variety of South Indian dishes.

2. Skills: Deep understanding of South Indian spices, flavors, and cooking techniques.

Ability to innovate and customize traditional and asian recipes.

Proficiency in kitchen management and multitasking.

3. Education: Formal culinary training is preferred but not mandatory if experience is extensive.

4. Personality Traits: Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Attention to detail and a passion for South Indian cuisine.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

5. Certifications: Food safety and hygiene certification (as per local regulations).

Any relevant culinary certifications are a plus.

6. Physical Requirements :Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Physically fit to stand for long hours and lift heavy kitchen equipment or ingredients.
