Role Description
Reporting to the Import Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily import operations, ensuring smooth customs clearance, and coordinating closely with overseas partners and internal stakeholders. This role is ideal for an experienced import professional who is confident managing multiple priorities in a dynamic logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Import Manager in overseeing daily import operations
- Coordinate import shipments and provide operational support to the Sales team
- Liaise with overseas branches and appointed agents on shipment arrangements
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, company SOPs, and ISO 9001 standards
- Serve as a key contact for customs-related matters (including Inter-Gateway permits)
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve operational efficiency
- Prepare operational and performance reports for management review
- Handle other import-related responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline
- 3-6 years of experience in import operations or freight forwarding
- Strong knowledge of import documentation and customs procedures
- Good coordination and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
