- To lead the ATS Engineering activites including technically assess the contractual scope of the project for ATS subsystem and manage the ATS solution including specific and generic solutions, in line with the project specification, cost and performance commitments.
- Define and agree on the ATS Development roadmap that needs to be delivered as per project needs.
- Manage the Project ATS Development activities for internal products / modles and project deliveries for customer, ensuring inline with process abd QCD commitments
- Lead analysis of the issues and defect identified during factory validation and site testing.
- Support testing and investigations at site and validation platforms.
- Ensure technical coordination; between different internal teams and customer,
- Ensure correct design choice is made and reviewed with Design Authority
- Apply and contribute to improvement of the Development processes, methods & tools as defined by the Methods and Tools organization
- Participate in ATS Design Reviews, Participate in proofreadings and reviews of documents
- Manage ATS Configuration, Change Management and deliveries: establish and maintain the configuration baselines, perform configuration reviews, lead the Control Board (CCB).
- Manage the interface with the project core team
- Contributes to continuous improvement
Qualifications & Skills:
EDUCATION
- Master or Bachelors Degree in Engineering with a major in computer, electronics or telecom
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
- Strong experience in design and deployment methodology (V cycle, SysML, requirement management)
- 15 years experience in delivery of software for control centers for rail projects
- Strong knowledge on Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) system, both operationally and functionally.
- Good knowledge on signalling system (interlocking, ATC and ATS),
- Knowledge of technical element linked to modern Railway Signalling (IP networks, embeded software, XML technology, Cybersecurity)
- Rail industry background is a must
- Knowledge of railway signalling industry standards
