Job Description

Senior Human Resources Executive

We are a well-established and growing local company located at Tuas with over 100 employees. We specialise in the manufacture, importation and supply of critical components to makers of equipment used by electricity generation and distribution authorities across countries in South East Asia.

We are currently inviting applications for the role of Senior Human Resources Executive to take charge of all aspects of our human resource function. We expect the successful candidate will be a progressive minded mid-career HR Executive, with hands-on and proven HR experience in a manufacturing environment. He/she should be able to work independently with minimum guidance. This position reports to the Company's Chief Financial Officer who oversees the Hurman Resources function.

Job Scope

  • Talent acquisition, including sourcing of suitable candidates/interns, selection, appointment, orientation, and induction. Supporting line managers/supervisors in updating job descriptions and organization charts.
  • Salary and Benefits administration, including keeping employee records, preparation of monthly payroll, leave management, medical/hospitalization, handling all insurance claims and daily attendance records.
  • Work with IT vendors to update all the Company's HR IT systems whenever changes are necessary.
  • Management of foreign employees, including work pass application/renewal etc.
  • Administers all requests from MOM and other government agencies on employment statistics.
  • Support line managers/supervisors in handling disciplinary matters, including PIPs and employment termination, where necessary.
  • Be a reference point to all managers/ supervisors/employees in understanding Company HR policies and practices. Update the Employee Handbook as approved by Management and communicate to employees of such changes
  • Administer Performance Management activities according to approved timelines and follow up on actions arising therefrom, including training and development of employees via WSQ or other course providers.
  • Taking care of workplace social, health & safety such as lunch & learn events, corporate volunteerism, annual dinners, festive gifts for employees etc. Be a member of the Company's Safety Committee to contribute ideas on health/safety management at the workplace.

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources Management
  • Effectively bilingual in spoken and written English and Mandarin with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good communicator and interacts well with employees at all levels
  • Strong understanding of all legislations governing employment in Singapore
  • Good track record ln independent management of all human resource activities
  • Understands good local HR Management practices
