We are seeking a strategic HR leader to oversee the full HR function and drive initiatives that align with our expansion and workforce needs.
Job Purpose
The Senior Human Resource Manager will be responsible for leading the HR team and managing the entire HR function, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, compensation & benefits, payroll, training, and compliance. This role will work closely with senior management to shape HR strategies that support business objectives and ensure a high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with senior management to design and execute HR strategies aligned with business growth.
- Provide insights on manpower planning, succession planning, and workforce optimization.
- Lead HR projects such as organizational restructuring, job grading, and policy updates.
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Oversee recruitment strategies to attract talent across all levels (frontline to leadership).
- Ensure effective onboarding, orientation, and probation evaluation processes.
- Build employer branding initiatives to strengthen Green Olive Group's position as an employer of choice.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster a positive work culture by implementing engagement programs and feedback mechanisms.
- Mediate and resolve employee disputes, grievances, and disciplinary cases in line with MOM guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and fair employment practices.
4. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll
- Oversee payroll administration and ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements (CPF, IRAS, MOM).
- Review and propose competitive compensation and benefits structures.
- Develop policies for overtime, allowances, and incentive schemes tailored for the retail sector.
5. Performance Management & Training
- Drive annual performance appraisal cycles and link outcomes to rewards and development plans.
- Identify training needs and implement learning programs to upskill employees.
- Support leadership development and succession planning for key positions.
6. HR Operations & Compliance
- Lead HR policy development, employee handbook updates, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure all HR records, contracts, and documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Prepare HR reports, analytics, and dashboards for management review.
Requirements
- Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 8-10 years of HR experience, with 3-5 years in a managerial capacity (preferably in retail / FMCG / service sector).
- Strong knowledge of Singapore employment laws and MOM regulations.
- Proven leadership in managing a diverse workforce, including frontline retail staff.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred (to liaise with Chinese-speaking employees and stakeholders).
