Job Summary
The Senior Human Capital Executive supports the Human Capital team in shaping employee experience, fostering a high-performance culture, and enhancing organisational effectiveness to create a great workplace for all employees.
Areas of Focus
As a true HR generalist, the incumbent will wear multiple hats in areas such as talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and compliance. This role supports the full spectrum of Human Capital operations and partners closely with department leaders to deliver people solutions that strengthen employee engagement and elevate our guest promise.
Strategic Responsibilities / Duties
HR Operations
1. Assist in the recruitment and selection process to attract top talent. Assist in recruitment matters such as to arrange for interview, prepare and present letter of appointment to select candidates.
2. Develop retention strategies to reduce turnover.
3. Implement effective onboarding programs to ensure new hires are integrated successfully.
4. Execute smooth onboarding, offboarding and employee life cycle.
5. Build partnerships with local polytechnics and universities to support school outreach programmes, internships, sponsorships and graduate programmes.
6. Identify training needs, maintain training records, and coordinate with external training providers.
7. Organise training schedules, track training attendance, and conduct orientation.
8. Assist with MOM surveys submission.
9. Prepare reports and conduct data analysis to support workforce planning and business decisions.
10. Maintain accurate employee leave and personal records.
11. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquires regarding compensation and benefits.
Culture and EmployeeEngagement
12. Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture.
13. Ensure proper maintenance of colleagues facilities(E.g. locker room, colleagues cafeteria, resting area, notice boards, etc)
14. Develop and implement employee engagement programs to boost morale and productivity.
15. Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to assess and enhance employee satisfaction.
Employee Relations and Compliance
16. Manage employee relations issues and provide conflict resolution.
17. Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
18. Administer and ensure HR policies and procedures are followed.
Performance Management
19. Partner with HODs to create individual performance plans, identify high-potential talents, and recommend career development programs
20. Coordinate the annual appraisal cycle and confirmation assessments
21. Facilitate continuous feedback and development discussion.
22. Develop succession planning process to ensure leadership continuity.
23. Perform other duties as assigned by the direct reporting manager.
HR Projects and Process Improvement
24. Lead and participate in Human Capital projects, including HR digitalisation, system implementation, process improvement, and organisational initiatives.
25. Review and streamline HR processes to improve efficiency, employee experience, and service delivery.
26. Coordinate cross-functional projects with department heads and external vendors to ensure timely project execution.
27. Support the implementation of new HR initiatives, policies, and programs aligned with business objectives.
28. Monitor project milestones, prepare progress reports, and recommend continuous improvements based on data and feedback.
Employer Branding and Talent Attraction
29. Develop and execute employer branding initiatives to position the hotel as an employer of choice.
30. Manage the organisation's presence on recruitment platforms, career websites, social media, and employer review sites.
31. Collaborate with Marketing and department leaders to create content showcasing company culture, employee success stories, and career opportunities.
32. Represent the hotel at career fairs, recruitment events, school outreach programs, and industry networking activities.
33. Monitor employer branding metrics and recommend strategies to enhance talent attraction and candidate experience.
Key Skills and Requirements
1. Diploma or Degree holder with a minimum of 4 years experience in a similar capacity in hotel operation.
2. Strong knowledge of Singapore Employment Act, local labour laws, MOM requirements, and HR compliance practices.
3. Experience in employer branding, campus recruitment, social media recruitment campaigns, and talent attraction initiatives.
4. Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills.
5. Highly meticulous with strong attention to details.
6. Able to work in a face pace environment and multitask.
