We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior HR Executive to oversee the full spectrum of Human Resources operations. This role requires strong hands-on HR operational experience, comprehensive knowledge of employment and labour laws, and the ability to effectively support and enhance HR functions across the organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient HR processes, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and the implementation of HR initiatives aligned with business objectives.
This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur.
Key Responsibilities
- Support manpower planning and succession planning initiatives to ensure business continuity and talent readiness.
- Identify high-potential employees and assist in developing career progression and talent development plans.
- Lead training and development activities, including training needs analysis, programme coordination, and training budget monitoring.
- Manage HRDC-related matters, including grant applications, claims, training records, and compliance with HRDC requirements.
- Monitor employee competency development and ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
- Coordinate and support the Performance Management System (PMS), including KPI setting, appraisal exercises, and performance reviews.
- Monitor appraisal progress across departments and verify completed appraisal documentation.
- Lead employee relations and industrial relations (IR) matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, counseling sessions, and domestic inquiries.
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies, employment practices, and labour law requirements.
- Review and maintain HR policies, procedures, SOPs, and employee handbooks to ensure legal compliance.
- Support employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and management updates on talent, training, and employee relations matters.
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, HRIS administration, and employee records management.
- Ensure effective communication of HR policies, programmes, and initiatives through memos, emails, and employee briefings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in any relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with exposure to Learning & Development, Employee Relations, and Industrial Relations.
- Good knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, and other relevant labour laws.
- Experience in handling employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and domestic inquiries.
- Familiarity with Performance Management Systems (PMS), competency development, and succession planning practices.
- Experience in managing training programmes, HRDC grant applications, claims, and compliance requirements.
