Position Summary
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Hardware Engineer to drive the architectural design and technical execution of our next-generation Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). This role is pivotal in bridging complex end-user requirements with high-precision hardware solutions. The incumbent will operate within an Agile, cross-functional environment, leading the delivery of innovative systems that ensure the reliability of cutting-edge semiconductor technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- System Architecture & Design: Lead the end-to-end hardware lifecycle, including high-level specification, schematic development, and rigorous verification of complex test systems.
- Prototype Leadership: Spearhead the bring-up phase of initial prototypes and resolve critical hardware bottlenecks such as signal integrity, thermal management, noise floor optimization, and jitter.
- Technical Integration: Partner closely with FPGA, Firmware, and Software teams to ensure seamless system integration and robust hardware-to-software handshakes.
- Calibration & Accuracy: Design and implement advanced software features and algorithms for high-precision level and timing calibration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) within an Agile team of 15+ engineers to drive continuous improvement in hardware reliability and performance.
- Compliance & Characterization: Perform comprehensive hardware characterization and ensure designs meet international regulatory and marketing standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Academic Background: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Software Engineering.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years in hardware design, specifically within high-tech equipment or the semiconductor industry.
- Technical Proficiencies: * Expertise in high-speed digital design and analog circuit optimization.
- Strong analytical skills for debugging complex, multi-layered technical systems.
- Proficiency in FPGA development or C++/Python for automation is a distinct advantage.
- Soft Skills: Proven ability to integrate quickly into international teams and a proactive approach to learning new technical domains.
- Mobility: Ability to travel occasionally for global project alignment and site support.
