Produce highquality 2D drawings, 3D models, prototypes, and manufacturing specifications that support scalable and future-proof production.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams-including R&D, engineering, procurement, marketing, and manufacturing-to deliver products that meet both current and future market demands.
Evaluate new materials and advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., CNC, 3D printing, sustainable composites) to enhance product durability, efficiency, and environmental performance.
Drive continuous improvement by analysing product performance, user feedback, and lifecycle data to refine existing product lines.
Lead vendor and manufacturer coordination across the region, ensuring efficient production, quality compliance, and long-term supplier relationships.
Present ideas and design narratives to clients, stakeholders, and internal leadership in a clear, strategic, and future-oriented manner.
Mentor junior designers, cultivate a culture of innovation, and contribute to shaping the design direction of the company.
Ensure all furniture products comply with safety, sustainability, and ergonomic standards aligned with future industry regulations and market expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, or related discipline.
3+ years of professional experience in furniture design, with a portfolio demonstrating innovation, craftsmanship, and commercial success.
Strong understanding of global furniture trends, emerging technologies, and future market demands.
Expertise in furniture construction, materials science, joinery details, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
Proficiency in industrystandard design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, SketchUp, Revit, KeyShot, or similar.
Knowledge of sustainable materials, green manufacturing practices, and circular product development is a strong advantage.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate long-term design vision and strategy.
Strong project management ability and experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
Detailoriented, analytical, and capable of managing multiple design projects with a future-forward mindset.
Experience working with regional manufacturers, supply chains, and international markets is preferred.
