Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Fund Accountant to support the delivery of high-quality fund accounting and financial reporting services to private equity, venture capital, real estate, and hedge fund clients. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of fund clients, ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and work closely with internal teams, auditors, administrators, and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review fund net asset value (NAV) calculations, financial statements, and investor reports.
  • Perform fund accounting activities, including investment transactions, capital calls, distributions, expense allocations, and portfolio reconciliations.
  • Review and reconcile cash, investment holdings, and capital accounts.
  • Coordinate the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, or other applicable accounting standards.
  • Support tax reporting requirements and collaborate with tax advisors where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with fund governing documents and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor junior team members and review their work to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing timely, accurate, and professional service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • 4-7 years of relevant fund accounting experience gained in a fund administrator, asset manager, Big Four, or financial services environment.
  • Experience with private equity, venture capital, real estate, or hedge funds is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel experience with fund accounting systems is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
