About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientedFund Accountantto join our growing Fund Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality fund accounting and administration services to a portfolio of hedge fund and alternative investment clients.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of fund structures, close interaction with clients and external service providers, and the opportunity to contribute to process improvement as the platform scales.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Accounting & Administration
- Deliver full-spectrum fund accounting and administration services to assigned hedge fund and alternative investment clients
- Handle day-to-day accounting activities including cash management, payment processing, and bank reconciliations
- Reconcile cash, positions, expenses, pricing, and accruals
- Prepare and review NAV calculations and other periodic fund reports
Fees, Financials & Reporting
- Calculate and review management fees, performance fees, high-water marks, hurdle rates, and other fund-level calculations in accordance with fund governing documents
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and ad hoc client reports
- Ensure financial reporting is compliant with applicable accounting standards, including IFRS, US GAAP, and Singapore GAAP
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, responding to fund and investor queries in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors and support year-end audits, tax filings, and other statutory submissions
- Assist clients with regulatory and investor reporting requirements where applicable
Operations & Growth
- Support new fund launches, investor onboarding, and setup of accounting records
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, strengthen operational controls, and enhance efficiency
- Assist with ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum4 years of relevant experiencein fund administration, investment management, or public accounting, preferably with exposure to hedge funds or alternative investment funds
- Strong understanding of fund structures, fiduciary responsibilities, and valuation principles
- Good working knowledge ofIFRS, US GAAP, and Singapore GAAP
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders
- Experience withBloomberg and/or FIS InvestOnewill be an advantage
