Key Responsibilities
- Full-Stack AI Product Delivery: Design and build AI-powered features across the stack from asynchronous Python services and event-driven pipelines to responsive front-end interfaces in SvelteKit.
- Document Intelligence: Build complex document processing workflows, from ingestion and OCR to layout analysis and element enrichment, orchestrated via resilient, event-driven background workers.
- System Design: Implement secure, scalable API endpoints using FastAPI and PostgreSQL, following strict architectural layering and dependency injection patterns to ensure long-term maintainability.
- Modern Front-end Architecture: Build and maintain our SvelteKit application composing accessible, responsive interfaces using Svelte 5, Tailwind CSS, and modern component libraries.
- Infrastructure & Reliability: Contribute to cloud-native deployments (GCP/AWS), Redis caching, feature flagging, and robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure enterprise-grade security (SOC2/ISO27001 standards), including multi-tenant data isolation, RBAC, and performance optimization.
- Your immediate focus will be the development of AI-powered Canvas and Client Portal features.
Requirements
You're an analytical thinker and doer who thrives in a fast-paced environment with minimal bureaucracy. You approach problems with an open mind and are eager to experiment, learn from every iteration and deliver exceptional results.
- 4+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer.
- Strong backend expertise in Python (async), with production experience building APIs in FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Solid experience with modern front-end frameworks - SvelteKit/Svelte 5 strongly preferred, or React/Next.js with willingness to master Svelte. You're comfortable owning UI features end-to-end, from component architecture to styling with Tailwind CSS.
- Strong understanding of relational databases (Postgres), including query optimization, schema design.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, background job systems, or complex workflow orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred AWS also valued), including containerized deployments (Cloud Run, Docker).
- Ambitious and possess a get-it-done mentality, with the ability to take full ownership of deliverables.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with LLM integration, direct experience with agent frameworks is a strong plus.
- Experience with document processing pipelines (OCR, PDF parsing, layout analysis).
- Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search techniques.
- Exposure to real-time features (WebSockets, streaming APIs).
- Experience with observability tooling (structured logging, distributed tracing).
- Familiarity with rich text editors and complex data grid components.
- Experience with SaaS platforms and enterprise security requirements (RBAC, multi-tenancy, SOC2) is highly preferred.
- Experience with WorkOS, Supabase Auth, Microsoft MSAL, or similar auth integrations on the front end.
- Knowledge of resilience patterns in front-end services (circuit breakers, request deduplication).
- Experience with Vitest, Playwright, and Testing Library for front-end testing.
