Role: Senior Java Backend

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Java Backend / Full-Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot to develop and integrate enterprise banking applications. The role requires hands-on experience building interfaces for host integration, including online and batch integrations, with core and other banking systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop APIs and interfaces for integration with banking host systems.
- Build and support online and batch integrations between applications and bank systems.
- Integrate with platforms such as CBS, SIBS, WebFITAS, or similar core/enterprise banking systems.
- Develop REST APIs, microservices and system-to-system interfaces.
- Work with databases, messaging and integration frameworks.
- Troubleshoot integration and production issues across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts and other engineering teams.
- Ensure solutions meet banking standards for security, reliability and performance.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on Java development experience.
- Strong Spring Boot / Spring Framework experience.
- Backend or Full-Stack application development experience.
- API and interface development experience.
- Experience with host/system integration – online and batch.
- REST APIs / Microservices.
- SQL and relational databases.
- Experience working in banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application integration.
Highly Preferred
Experience with CBS, SIBS, WebFITAS or similar banking systems, along with messaging technologies such as Kafka/MQ and frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Important: This is not a generic Java developer role. Candidates must have hands-on Java + Spring Boot experience and should ideally have developed interfaces/integrations with banking host or core systems.
