Senior Full-Stack Developer (Cloud-Native Web Applications)

About the Role

A public-sector digital transformation programme is looking for a senior full-stack developer to support the development and enhancement of modern web applications hosted on AWS.

This is a hands-on engineering role suited for developers with strong Next.js, TypeScript, and cloud deployment experience who enjoy working across both frontend and backend components in a collaborative Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js and TypeScript.

* Build reusable React components and responsive user interfaces.

* Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and cloud services.

* Support deployment and maintenance of applications on AWS.

* Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployment workflows.

* Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimisation.

* Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and other developers to deliver production-ready features.

Required Skills

* A minimum of 7 years relevant software development experience, with strong proficiency in Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

* Experiences with Node.js and RESTful API integration will be mandatory

* Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, RDS, or CloudFront is also a must

* Familiarity with Docker and modern CI/CD practices.

* Good understanding of Git-based development workflows.

* Any exposure to Kubernetes, Terraform, or AWS CDK, monitoring and logging tools or AI-assisted development tools or coding assistants will be advantageous, but not mandatory.

* Experience delivering production-grade enterprise applications.

* Strong hands-on coding capability and practical cloud deployment experience.

* Good problem-solving and debugging skills.

* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
