This role sits within a front-office engineering group responsible for building user-facing platforms that support real-time pricing, execution, and analytics. The team partners closely with business stakeholders to deliver robust, intuitive, and performance-critical applications used daily by front-office professionals.
You will contribute to the design and delivery of modern UI solutions in an environment that values engineering quality, scalability, and responsiveness.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement modern UI components for applications
- Own front-end development standards and contribute to UI architecture decisions
- Collaborate with business users to understand functional requirements and usability needs
- Work alongside backend and platform engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Contribute to performance tuning, resilience, and maintainability of front-office systems
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of professional experience, with minimum at least 5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript / TypeScript
- Familiarity and experience in financial services/banking space
- Strong proficiency in modern web frameworks (React) is a must (5+ years hands-on experience)
- Experience building complex, data-intensive user interfaces in regulated or high-availability environments
- Hands-on experience with testing frameworks and automated build/deployment pipelines
- Strong understanding of UI performance optimisation and responsive design
- Experience working with UI frameworks, component libraries, and design systems
- Exposure to backend development (e.g. Java or C#) is advantageous
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a must
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
