What You Will Be Doing
Operational Management
- Supervise and coordinate daily shipping operations to ensure smooth and timely transportation of goods.
- Plan and manage consolidation boxes for overseas shipments.
- Arrange and coordinate deliveries and pickups with all relevant parties, including logistics and warehouse teams.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and oversee accurate shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Permits, and Certificates of Origin.
- Handle and declare all types of import/export permits.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company protocols.
Customer & Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with customers, co-loaders, and overseas agents for shipment arrangements and issue resolution.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with shipping vendors, carriers, and hauliers.
Monitoring & Improvement
- Use and oversee systems to monitor shipments, billing, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and prompt updates.
- Identify opportunities to optimize shipping efficiency and reduce costs.
- Resolve shipping, transportation, or documentation issues to maintain service standards.
Other Duties
- Provide support for ad-hoc projects or tasks assigned by management.
Job requirements
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
- 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding or freight consolidation (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive learner with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
- Immediate availability and Singaporean citizenship are advantageous.
