Our client, a Japanese-listed Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company known for its high-quality project delivery, is currently seeking a Senior Fire Engineer (EPC). This role is responsible for leading fire protection design and execution across EPC/EPCM projects, encompassing tender preparation, engineering deliverables, and providing technical support throughout to the commissioning phase.
This position reports directly to the Department Manager
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and execution of EPC/EPCM projects related to fire protection systems, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
- Manage man-hour estimates and scheduling for fire prevention engineering tasks, tracking progress against project milestones.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including fire protection concepts, specifications, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, and layout drawings.
- Review and verify design deliverables such as datasheets, technical drawings, and vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Coordinate effectively with clients, Project Management Teams (PMTs), internal engineering teams, and external vendors to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning phases, resolving design-related issues and ensuring successful integration and system start-up.
Requirement & Preferences
(Must)
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working on EPC/EPCM projects, particularly in fire protection systems.
- Proficient in using and training others on key engineering software such as Pipenet, FlowMaster, PHAST, and AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of local and international fire protection standards and regulations.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical documentation, contracts, and engineering instructions.
