Job Description

Our client, a well-established organization in the engineering and infrastructure sector, is seeking an experienced and strategic finance leader to oversee and drive the transformation of its finance operations. This high-impact role is responsible for ensuring financial compliance, operational excellence, and delivery of critical finance functions such as payroll, payments, and credit control.

You will lead a team and partner cross-functionally to build robust financial processes, implement internal controls, and support key systems transformation projects. This is a rare opportunity to join a stable, forward-looking organization during a period of operational growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the policies, processes, and delivery of payments, payroll, and credit control functions.
• Drive improvements in financial operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
• Ensure appropriate revenue recognition and monthly accruals.
• Establish and strengthen internal financial controls identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Lead transformation initiatives to enhance the efficiency of finance operations.
• Manage payroll budgeting and support long-term workforce planning.
• Lead the implementation and optimisation of finance reporting systems, such as SAP.
• Present financial analysis and actionable insights to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience in commercial organizations or professional services firms.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale finance operations with strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic insights from financial data.
• Hands-on experience with financial systems implementation (e.g., SAP) is a strong advantage.
• Prior experience in regulated industries or asset-intensive sectors (e.g., infrastructure, engineering, logistics) would be beneficial.
