Senior Finance Manager / Deputy Finance Controller

Join a Globally Diversified Investment and Trading Group

  • UP to SGD 15,000 basic + AWS and performance-based variable bonus

  • Shenton Way, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

  • Regional travel required to Africa approximately 2-3 times annually, with each trip lasting about one month

Role Overview

Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Senior Finance Manager / Deputy Finance Controller will oversee full-spectrum finance operations while supporting strategic financing, governance, and capital management initiatives.

The role combines operational finance leadership with strategic business partnering and offers exposure to banking relationships, treasury management, board-level reporting, and listed-company governance standards.

Candidates with strong technical finance foundations, commercial acumen, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced international environment will thrive in this position.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Lead end-to-end finance functions including financial accounting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies

  • Support statutory reporting, audits, and financial close processes alongside senior finance leadership

Business Finance & Strategic Support

  • Partner with business units and management teams to deliver financial insights and decision support

  • Drive business planning, cost optimisation, capital expenditure evaluation, and profitability analysis

  • Provide scenario planning and forward-looking financial analysis to support strategic decision-making

Capital, Treasury & Financing

  • Support financing activities including banking facilities, refinancing exercises, and funding arrangements

  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, funding analyses, and financial models for capital planning

  • Monitor banking covenants, treasury matters, and liquidity management

  • Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and external advisors

Governance & Listed-Company Readiness

  • Strengthen financial governance, internal controls, and regulatory compliance

  • Coordinate audit processes with external auditors and advisors

  • Apply listed-company reporting standards and governance best practices

  • Support preparation of board materials and management presentations

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with senior leadership on finance operations and strategic initiatives

  • Engage with key stakeholders including banks, shareholders, auditors, and government-related agencies

  • Support process improvement initiatives across finance operations and reporting standards

  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc strategic assignments

Requirements

Professional Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a reputable university

  • Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred

  • 5 years of finance experience with Big 4 experience

  • Experience in listed companies is essential

  • Exposure to PRC-related business environments is advantageous

  • Strong hands-on experience across accounting, reporting, budgeting, and business finance

  • Working knowledge of financing, treasury, and banking arrangements

  • Strong understanding of Singapore regulatory and governance frameworks

  • Proven analytical, financial modelling, and presentation skills

  • Experience managing teams of at least 10 members
