Basic up to $9,000 + bonuses
The role will focus on improving internal controls, supporting financial reporting and budgeting processes, responding to audit requirements from HQ and external auditors, and facilitating communication across multicultural stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Finance & Management Reporting
・Oversee and support the company's finance and accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely monthly and annual closing processes.
・Collaborate with the Accounts Manager and internal accounting team to prepare monthly financial reports, management reports, and annual budget proposals.
・Prepare and analyze monthly P&L reports, including budget-versus-actual analysis, gross profit analysis, and KPI tracking to support business decision-making.
・Support financial forecasting, corporate planning, and resource allocation initiatives aligned with business growth objectives.
・Develop and implement action plans based on financial and operational performance analysis to improve overall business performance.
・Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and corporate governance requirements.
2. Audit, Compliance & Process Improvement
・Liaise with external auditors, corporate secretaries, and Japanese headquarters regarding statutory audits, internal audits, and financial reporting requirements.
・Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and respond to detailed inquiries from auditors and HQ stakeholders.
・Establish, standardize, and improve accounting workflows, documentation processes, and invoice-related procedures.
・Support the enhancement of internal control systems and operational governance processes.
・Coordinate with Singapore government agencies such as SFA, MOM, JTC, and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and smooth business operations.
3. Central Kitchen & Business Operations Support
・Support the financial and operational management of the company's central kitchen and food manufacturing business.
・Work closely with the Head of Central Kitchen to monitor operational KPIs, production efficiency, and overall profitability.
・Prepare financial data, P&L materials, AR reports, invoicing documentation, and operational reports related to manufacturing and food operations.
・Coordinate with OEM manufacturing partners, suppliers, equipment vendors, and F&B business stakeholders regarding operational and financial matters.
・Support business expansion and operational improvement initiatives within the food manufacturing and F&B sectors.
4. Corporate Planning & Cross-Cultural Coordination
・Act as the key liaison between the Singapore office and Japan headquarters to ensure smooth communication and operational alignment.
・Support strategic corporate planning initiatives, including long-term business planning and operational transformation projects.
・Provide Japanese-English/Chinese translation and interpretation support for meetings, emails, reports, and corporate documentation.
・Facilitate collaboration among multicultural stakeholders and support the integration of Japanese corporate management practices with local business operations.
・Assist management with ad-hoc projects, reporting tasks, and business initiatives as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
・Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking management stakeholders.
・Business‑level Japanese or English proficiency to communicate effectively with Japanese speaking stakeholders. (Japanese language will be an advantage)
■Experience & Technical Competencies
・Practical experience in finance and accounting operations, including monthly and annual closing processes, financial reporting, and audit coordination.
・Experience in budget management, P&L analysis, gross profit analysis, and management reporting is preferred.
・Prior experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B), food manufacturing, or supplier industry will be highly advantageous.
・Familiarity with Singapore's regulatory environment and Japanese corporate reporting structures is preferred.
・Hands-on experience liaising with external auditors, vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
・Ability to support process improvement initiatives, operational controls, and finance-related workflow standardization.
