Job Description

Role Overview

Responsible for delivering high‑quality, accurate financial operations and reporting for Price Forbes Asia and Ed HK entities and over seeing multiple finance disciplines. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, hands‑on systems expertise, and the ability to manage priorities in a MAS-regulated financial institution environment, while supporting continuous improvement and change.

Key Role Accountabilities

1. Functional & Technical Expertise

  • Demonstrates strong end‑to‑end knowledge and hands‑on experience with financial systems, including SUN, Tagetik, and Microsoft Dynamics (D365).
  • Owns the monthly close for two entities, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely accounting across day‑to‑day finance operations, including:
  1. Billing, credit control, and monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts
  2. Verification of supplier bank details and maintenance of beneficiary templates
  3. Processing of supplier invoices and employee expense claims in SUN including approving of Info-Tech expenses
  4. Execution of regular supplier payment runs
  5. Bank statements reconciliation and posting in SUN
  6. Posting of IBA and operational month‑end journals
  7. Preparation of balance sheet schedules and monthly financial reports
  • Oversees and drives improvements in multiple finance disciplines - financial reporting, forecasting and liquidity management.
  • Applies strong analytical, problem‑solving, project management and prioritization skills to finance and system‑related activities.
  • Maintains compliance with Singapore regulatory, statutory, and audit requirements.
  • Manages competing priorities to meet Group and local regulatory deadlines, including MAS (annual return filing), IRAS (annual corporate tax and quarterly GST) and ACRA (AR filing) requirements.
  • Supports and adapts positively to change, including the implementation of new processes, systems, and controls.

2. Business & Stakeholder Management

  • Communicates clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with the ability to translate complex financial matters into simple, practical insights.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including:
  1. Auditor
  2. Corporate secretary
  3. Tax consultant
  4. Regulator
  5. Third‑party service provider
  • Collaborates effectively across teams and platforms to resolve issues and deliver outcomes.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in applying skills and experience to additional or evolving responsibilities as required.
  • Deep understanding of financial drivers and risks.

3. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Proactively identifies issues, risks, and inefficiencies, and implements effective solutions.
  • Contributes to the enhancement of financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.
  • Presents financial information, analysis, and recommendations to management in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

4. Building Self‑Insight & Relationships

  • Builds and sustains strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders through professionalism, trust, and collaboration.

Compliance

  • Comply with relevant legal, regulatory and compliance requirements, E&O compliance procedures and quality initiatives.
  • Escalation of any potential E&O's to Compliance Officer and Executive Directors at the earliest opportunity.
  • Ensure completion of all mandatory Company training and to deadline.

Your scope of duties is not restrictive and may be expanded at the company's discretion.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certifications

  • Degree‑level educated or equivalent
  • Professional qualification: CA / CPA / ACCA, with relevant industry experience

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Hands‑on experience with SUN, D365, and Tagetik
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, macros, and financial modelling

Experience

  • At least 5 years of working in Finance
  • Experience in onboarding newly acquired entities
  • Systems migration experience
  • IRAS and MAS financial reporting experience
