Job Description


Job scopes

  • Support the monthly financial book close process, ensuring alignment with group financial reporting and local regulatory timelines.
  • Assist with Finance Operations activities covering distribution, health, and fixed asset-related processes.
  • Monitor daily batch runs from the Distribution Management System (DMS), ensuring timely identification and resolution of exceptions.
  • Support the Distribution team with the preparation of monthly schedules and aging reports.
  • Work closely with Distribution Support Services (DSS) and Distribution Performance Management (DPM) to ensure accurate booking aligned with production periods and insurance funds.
  • Provide support for commission and distribution-related balance sheet substantiation and reconciliations.
  • Act as the finance subject matter expert (SME) for product development and Day 2 IT change request activities.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure finance requirements are embedded in system changes and enhancements.
  • Support the management and maintenance of end-user computing (EUC) controls within Finance Operations.
  • Ensure adherence to internal control standards and support audit requirements where applicable.
  • Provide additional support to finance operations initiatives and process improvement projects as required.


Job requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Part or full professional qualification in accounting and finance (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • 2-3 years of experience in Finance Operations, within the Life Insurance industry.
  • Prior experience in managing insurance commission and distribution cost booking
  • Familiarity with general ledger (GL) systems and policy administration systems.
  • Exposure to tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or PowerBuilder, and/or AI-enabled automation will be a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
