Job Summary

Senior Finance Executive is responsible for supporting daily operations of the Finance Department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational support across key finance functions. This role also supports financial planning and analysis activities including budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This position contributes to business decision-making by providing timely, accurate, and actionable financial information and insights to stakeholders, while supporting operational efficiency and financial performance improvement.

Areas of Focus

This role focuses on financial operations, statutory compliance, financial planning, analysis, reporting, and process improvement. It supports operational and strategic finance functions through analytical review, financial modelling, automation initiatives, and collaboration with internal stakeholders across the hotel.

Strategic Responsibilities / Duties

  1. Support the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department to ensure smooth and efficient financial processes.
  2. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for management review.
  3. Support statutory and internal audit processes, ensuring required documentation and compliance standards are met.
  4. Assist with statutory submissions, government surveys, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  5. Monitor and support working capital and cash flow management activities.
  6. Assist in contract management, licence administration,and insurance-related matters.
  7. Support fixed asset management including assettracking, reconciliations, and reporting.
  8. Provide payroll process support and operational coverage when required.
  9. Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  10. Analyse financial data, identify trends, and compare performance against budgets and targets.
  11. Prepare financial analysis, management reports, and presentation materials for stakeholders.
  12. Support scenario modelling and financial analysis to assess operational and commercial outcomes.
  13. Collaborate with operational departments to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
  14. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies within finance workflows.
  15. Utilise analytical tools and financial systems to improve reporting accuracy and operational effectiveness.
  16. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, company policies, and audit requirements.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned by the direct reporting manager.

Key Skills and Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, or related discipline CPA or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
  2. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in hospitality finance, accounting, or audit-related functions.
  3. Prior hospitality audit experience or operational finance exposure within hotels is preferred.
  4. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory experience with Power BI, SQL, VBA, and Opera systems is advantageous.
  5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
  6. Good understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance requirements.
  7. Ability to identify process improvement and automation opportunities within finance operations.
  8. Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
