Job Overview
This position reporting to Financial Controller will be based in HQ, managing the full financial reporting cycle. Responsibilities include monthly entity-level closing, sub-group consolidation, supporting group consolidation, management reporting, compliance activities, and oversight of finance operations of a BU. The role also supports ERP implementation and continuous process improvements within the BU.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
- Manage HQ financial operation activities (AP, bank admin, FA register, GST/WHT filings).
- Prepare intercompany invoicing and intercompany balance reconciliations.
- Prepare settlement proposals (e.g., netting, offsetting, cash settlement) and monitor intercompany loan positions.
- Support operational finance matters for the BU and coordinate with group entities.
Financial Reporting
- Lead monthly entity-level closing for Singapore entities.
- Prepare sub-group consolidation for the BU and assist in group consolidation and ensure accuracy of elimination entries.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting with performance analysis and variance explanations.
Budget Support
- Support budget preparation and provide analysis on budget vs actuals.
Audit and Tax Compliance
- Lead compliance tasks, including statutory audit, corporate tax, GST, and withholding tax requirements.
- Liaise with auditors and tax agents, ensuring timely submission and completion.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with BU operations, HQ finance, and other group entities to gather financial information and ensure smooth reporting processes.
Process Improvement
- Support ERP implementation, including testing, data migration, and process alignment.
- Enhance internal controls, documentation, and reporting workflows.
Collaboration with External Stakeholders
- Main contact for auditors, tax advisors, and other external parties for assigned entities and BU matters.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Qualified Accountant. Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is an advantage.
Experience
- 4 to 5 years of accounting experience.
- Experienced in Big 4 audit firms is highly preferred.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g. Oracle).
- Fluent in English and minimally proficient in Mandarin, including reading and speaking.
- Working knowledge of Singapore GST and corporate tax regulations is an advantage.
