Senior Factory Quality Test Engineer

The Product Assurance Engineering team for Seagate Systems responsible for ensuring the Quality and Reliability of our products from design through production. This team works closely with all areas of the product development teams at Seagate, including but not limited to design engineering, manufacturing and process engineering, and customer managers. We are a fast-paced, global team with the objective of delivering the world's most affordable solutions for mass-capacity environments. About the role - you will:

• Support the overall factory quality test process, from planning to execution which will include,
  • On site support of the test equipment and infrastructure, helping to bring up new equipment and support the rollout of new software releases.
  • Input on the design of the factory quality and reliability tests and processes.
  • Validation of new software releases.
  • Support of new product launches into the factory.
  • Support of the team members responsible for executing the tests.
  • Reporting and analysis of product trends and failure paretos
• Travel to the Design Center in Longmont, CO to train on new products
• Travel to Asia manufacturing sites

About you:

• Comfortable working in a lab environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discuss issues with team members worldwide
• Ability to work non-standard hours multiple times a month to attend calls and meetings with teams in Asia

Your experience includes:

• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Experience with programming languages such as Python
• Prior quality test experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering related field (i.e. Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Engineering, Materials, Physics, or Information Technology) and 5+ years of experience or master's degree in the same and 3+ years experience or PhD and 0+ years experience or equivalent experience and education.

You might also have:

• Prior network setup experience
• Experience with reliability analysis, Linux, and SQL knowledge
