About our Business – Unmanned & Integrated Systems
ST Engineering Satellite Systems Pte. Ltd. (SatSys) is a joint venture founded in 2010 by ST Engineering, DSO National Laboratories, and Nanyang Technological University. Today with our expertise and comprehensive suite of satellite engineering and test facility, SatSys design and develop satellite buses to integrate with various payloads, such as Electro-Optical (EO) camera, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and more, to meet the mission objectives of our customers.

As a Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and readiness of facility infrastructure supporting satellite manufacturing, assembly, integration, and environmental testing. The role focuses on hands on execution, coordination, and technical problem solving, ensuring facilities and test environments are safe, compliant, and reliably available to meet satellite program requirements.
Be Part of Our Success
Facility Operations & Maintenance (Core Accountability).
- Execute and coordinate daily facility operations, including power and utilities, HVAC and thermal systems, as well as mechanical and building services.
- Implement and follow established preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
- Perform troubleshooting and first level root cause analysis for facility and equipment issues. Escalates complex, high-risk or capital-related issues to senior engineers or managers.
- Ensure availability and reliability of facility systems supporting satellite manufacturing and Assembly, Integration & Testing (AIT).
Support for Satellite Manufacturing & Testing.
- Support operational readiness of cleanrooms, integration areas and environmental test facilities. Provide on-site facility support during critical testing periods and project milestones
- Support environmental test operations including thermal cycling and vibration activities.
- Work closely with AIT, test, and engineering teams to ensure facilities are ready for scheduled activities.
Contractor & Vendor Coordination.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors and vendors performing facility maintenance, equipment servicing and calibration, as well as minor upgrades or rectification works.
- Ensure vendor work complies with safety requirements, quality standards and approved scope of work.
- Monitor contractor performance and escalate issues when required.
Planning, Reporting & Continuous Improvement.
- Assist in planning maintenance activities and coordinating work schedules.
- Maintain accurate documentation for maintenance records, permit to work activities as well as inspection and test reports.
- Propose practical improvements to enhance facility reliability, operational efficiency and safety practices plus support facility modifications and new capability setup under guidance from senior engineers.
Qualities We Value
- Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in facilities management, preferably in high tech manufacturing, aerospace or test environments.
- Working knowledge of WSH and facility safety requirements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Willingness to support shift work, weekends, or public holidays when required.
- Exposure to or experience supporting environmental test facilities (thermal cycling and vibration testing) will be a plus.
- Familiarity with HVAC and thermal systems, cleanroom operations will be a plus.
- Experience working in environments with high reliability and quality requirements will be a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot facility related issues independently.
- Technical proficiency in assigned facility systems.
- Hands on, execution focused mindset.
- Able to work independently with moderate supervision.
- Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams and contractors
- Safety conscious and disciplined in following procedures.
- Willing to learn and adapt in a mission-critical satellite environment.
