Who You Are:

We are looking for someone to take up the Facilities Senior Engineer (Chemical & Gas) position within the Facilities Operation and Maintenance organization.

Position Summary:

Lumileds is seeking a qualified Facilities Senior Engineer (Chemical & Gas) to participate in the operation of our Facilities Operation and Maintenance department.

In this role, you will handle the day-to-day operation and assist the Facilities Operations & Maintenance Manager on the troubleshooting & preventive maintenance of the facilities systems like Chemical & Gas systems.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform Safe Operation of Flammable, Hazardous, Inert, Bulk Chemical & Gas systems and its distribution to Manufacturing Tools, Life Safety System.
  • Track daily consumption, Inventory Management (SAP) and Storage of Chemicals & Gases in accordance with Govt Agencies/Regulatory requirement, to ensure supplies are available to support manufacturing activities without disruption.
  • Manage Chemical Technicians, their work schedule to ensure continuous support for manufacturing activities.
  • Review and escalate abnormal material consumption to end users, material planner and procurement.
  • Manage waste or quarantine chemicals collection & disposition with end user, material planner, Finance and EHS.
  • Perform periodic chemical store & office audit including monthly inventories cycle count with Finance Manager.
  • Possess the ability to implement, review and improve maintenance programs such as preventive maintenance; predictive maintenance for chemical and gas systems to ensure maximum system uptime can be achieved
  • Carry out repair and troubleshooting on systems in an unplanned shutdown at the shortest period and to perform root cause analysis, implement action plan to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage the spare parts inventory and inventory cost to ensure availability of critical spare for the day-to-day operation of the system.
  • Manage chemical and gas projects.
  • Lead and manage change management for admin & Chem tech.
  • Arrange/provide training for Chemical technicians on chemical store operation.
  • Create, assist in updating and revising department documentation such as SOPs, SWI, Risk assessment, checklist etc.
  • Participate in company Emergency Respond Team as team member.
  • Support Facilities department in raising shopping cart for relevant Cost Center.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the Supervisor and/or Manager.

Education (Minimum Level)

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.

Field of Study

  • Engineering in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Material or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chemical and Gas related background.
  • Semiconductor/electronics industry experience.

Years of Experience (Minimum)

  • 5 - 7 years
