Job Description

The Senior Executive supports the Steering Committee in reviewing and implementing the deliverables for the next phase of the National Palliative Care Quality Improvement (NatPallQI) Programme.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

National Guidelines for Palliative Care (NGPC), Quality Improvement (QI) and Benchmarking

  1. Plan and coordinate national guidelines self-assessment, including psychosocial guidelines
  2. Organise meetings with providers to discuss national guidelines results and prioritise areas for improvement
  3. Collate and analyse national guideline results
  4. Prepare national guidelines report for institutions and MOH
  5. Organise and coordinate QI training sessions and QI mentorship sessions
  6. Coordinate meetings between the Steering Committee, Singapore Hospice Council and the participating institutions (including logistic arrangement and minutes taking)
  7. Plan and coordinate national benchmarking initiatives
  8. Collaborate to analyse enablers/success factors for good outcomes and share best practices among providers
  9. Assist in the implementation of initiatives to improve psychosocial care
  10. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor and/or Executive Director from time to time

Minimum Data Set

  1. Support the Steering Committee in building on existing minimum data set to include new providers and other indicators
  2. Conduct annual collection of minimum data set to drive quality improvement
  3. Link the data with relevant databases among participating institutions
  4. Analyse data and prepare report

General

  1. Submit monthly claims to NatPallQI Chairman and SHC for approval
  2. Assist to update MOH Key Performance Indicators report every 6 months before submission to MOH
  3. Monitor and update Other Operating Expenditure (OOE)
  4. Develop QI webpage on SHC website to promote professional events and activities, share generic open-source QI resources, results and reports for public information.
  5. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor and/or Executive Director from time to time.

Miscellaneous

  1. Oversight and co-ordinationof the monthly SHC multidisciplinary palliative care forum
  2. Support HealthcareProfessionals Committee (HCP) with all initiatives/programmes (PrimaryPalliative Care Network, Telegram Channel etc.)
  3. Support in the planning andco-ordination of conferences including liasing with relevant stakeholders.
