Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Training Management

  • Leads the training department with clear direction, inspires trainer performance, and drives collective accountability for learner outcomes.

  • Builds productive relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams responds professionally to stakeholder needs and expectations

  • Uses data and performance metrics to evaluate training effectiveness, identify gaps, and continuously improve programme quality.

  • Conduct trainer briefings, train-the-trainer sessions, and onboarding for newly assigned trainers.

  • Conduct trainer observations to obtain feedback for improvement

  • Allocate classrooms and deploy trainers based on intake sizes and subject expertise.

  • Financial management, e.g. Submission of training hours to payroll department

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of SSG, WSQ, SPF, SCDF, SFA and other frameworks to ensure full compliance in training delivery and documentation.

Facilities & Assessment Management

  • Coordinate with assessors and manage assessment schedules.

  • Prepare assessment props, rooms, and learner familiarisation sessions in line with SOPs.

  • Ensure proper functioning of equipment (HHMD, Walk‑Through Metal Detectors, X‑ray machines, traffic wands).

  • Oversee setup for specialized assessments such as XRay and CSSPB.

  • Manage attendance tracking, QR code verification, and assessor processes.

  • Provide learner care support for those assessed as Not Yet Competent (NYC), including reassessment arrangements.

  • Compile weekly assessment results and attendance records for submission.

  • Ensure classrooms & assessment rooms are properly equipped, clean, and conducive for training.

Post‑Assessment & In‑House Assessments

  • Document assessment outcomes and maintain NYC records.

  • Safekeep and replenish props, files, and assessment materials.

  • Prepare and conduct in‑house assessments including assessment booklets, case studies, and SOA certificates.

  • Ensure compliance with SSG reporting and audit requirements.

Training Materials & Equipment Management

  • Maintain and perform regular updates for facilitator and learner guides, worksheets, and presentation slides.

  • Conduct class audits to ensure trainers use updated materials.

  • Manage training props, files, and specialised equipment (SIMFOX laptops, tablets, handphones).

  • Troubleshoot technical issues during lessons and assessments.

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in training, education, or related field.

  • TAEPP registered. ACTA/ACLP compulsory. DACE/DDDLP will be an advantage.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in training operations, assessment management, or programme compliance.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with attention to detail.

  • Comfortable using LMS & TMS platforms, TPGateway, and learning technology tools to improve training delivery, administration, and reporting.

  • Familiarity with POLWEL requirements is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
