We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Executive, Planning (Integrated Scheduling) to oversee and drive integrated scheduling across both tender and construction phases.
This role serves as an independent planning control function, providing critical advisory and assurance to management on programme risks, progress performance, and recovery strategies. You will play a key role in strengthening planning governance, improving project visibility, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, review, and maintain master programmes across multiple projects.
- Establish Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), sequencing, and critical path.
- Ensure project schedules are realistic, aligned, and regularly updated.
Tender Planning
- Lead tender programmes development.
- Define construction sequencing, phasing, and high-level resource strategies.
- Present and explain programme logic to internal stakeholders and clients.
Progress Tracking & Reporting
- Track project progress against baseline schedules and identify gaps early.
- Provide independent and objective schedule reports to management.
- Validate, analyse, and challenge reported site progress.
Risk, Claims & Commercial Support
- Identify programme risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support Extension of Time (EOT) submissions and delay analysis.
- Maintain proper records to support contractual and claims requirements.
- Align project schedules with contractual obligations and commercial strategy.
Resource & Procurement Planning (Assurance)
- Review and challenge project resource and procurement plans.
- Identify gaps in manpower, sequencing, and long-lead item planning.
- Advise project teams on optimisation of schedules and resource allocation.
Planning Assurance & Challenge
- Review Project Managers look-ahead schedules, constraints, and recovery plans.
- Challenge assumptions constructively and ensure robustness of plans.
- Escalate key risks to management.
Planning Governance
- Standardise planning processes, tools, and reporting practices.
- Drive discipline in programme updates, tracking, and reviews.
- Report directly to Top Management on planning performance and risks.
Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in construction planning or project controls.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, productivity, and contract requirements.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to interpret complex project data.
- Confident in challenging project teams constructively and professionally.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
