The Corporate Outreach and Resources team is the key cultivator of anengaged and vibrant ecosystem that collectively advances Mercy Relief's mission.Through continual engagement of members of the public, corporates and donors,the team stewards resources and multiplies the impact of Mercy Relief'shumanitarian assistance and disaster relief programmes through strategicpartnerships and collaborations.
We are seeking individuals that derives joy in finding alignment across stakeholders(both in Singapore and internationally) to co-create value propositions that upliftdisaster-affected communities. Key to the role is being a strong communicator withclarity of the organisation's mission and vision with the ability to translate strategiesand plans into actionable collaboration pathways. Desired outcomes of the role:
Anchoring public communications and engagement (30%)
- Developing a network of partners (e.g. media, corporates, KOLs etc.) and other amplifiers of Mercy Relief's mission and outcomes.
- Establishing Mercy Relief's brand voice and narrative to position the organisation as a leading Singapore-born, globally-active humanitarian NGO.
- Driving awareness of Mercy Relief and the wider humanitarian sector across various stakeholders in Singapore.
- Continually enhancing Mercy Relief's outreach and engagement of the various market segments of interest to the organisation.
- Managing Mercy Relief's public communications for day-to-day matters and during response to emergency humanitarian situations.
Driving fundraising strategies and operations ( 40%)
- Developing Mercy Relief's fundraising and donor engagement strategy and blueprint.
- Executing and driving the efficiency of Mercy Relief's day-to-day fundraising platforms and operations.
- Driving the effectiveness of targeted fundraising efforts and campaigns to support Mercy Relief's humanitarian and disaster relief efforts.
- Developing a network of actively engaged donors (e.g. corporates, governments, NGOs, interest groups etc.) to consistently support Mercy Relief's mission.
- Ensuring good compliance and governance to Singapore's non-profit regulations whilst developing innovative ways to engage donors and partners.
- Continually monitoring, reviewing and improving Mercy Relief's fundraising efforts and efficiency.
- Continually improving donor relations (i.e. with various stakeholders, including members of the public, corporates, foundations and HNWIs)
Developing partnerships with stakeholders ( 20%)
- Developing and executing actionable strategies to engage various stakeholders (e.g. government agencies, international organisations, corporate partners, interest groups, individuals etc.) for tangible collaborations to multiply Mercy Relief's efforts to uplift disaster-affected communities.
- Deepening relationships with Mercy Relief's partners for recurring collaborations that compounds value created for partner organisations, disaster-affected communities and Mercy Relief.
- Identifying and proposing long-term collaborations with strategic partners to augment organisational capabilities to achieve Mercy Relief's mission.
- Positioning Mercy Relief as a key global platform to convene partnerships for humanitarian and disaster relief efforts.
Cross-functional projects and exposure to other aspects of MR's work(10%)
- Where need and opportunities arise, collaborate with other functions to realise meaningful initiatives and programmes that contribute wholistically to MR's organisational development and impact.
Desired qualifications and traits:
- At least 5 years in roles driving similar outcomes with demonstrable results, preferably (but not mandatorily) in the non-profit and/or humanitarian sector. (Note: Salary, designation and benefits will be commensurate with experience, qualifications and potential.)
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Arts and Social Sciences or related fields. A relevant Master's degree is advantageous.
- Strong organisational, time management and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and critical thinking ability, with a data-driven and evidence-based approach towards problem-solving.
- Strong sense of stewardship to maximise and multiply organisational and donor resources.
- Growth mind-set underpinned by passion and curiosity about how public communications, partnerships and stakeholder engagement can enable stronger organisational performance and delivery of humanitarian and disaster relief outcomes.
Desire and willingness to learn andgrow alongside likeminded individuals, Mercy Relief and humanitarian actors inSingapore (and beyond!).
