Job Description
We are looking for a professional with product compliance background to join our team in Investment Operational Risk and Compliance. You will be supporting the review and oversight of Investment-Linked Policy (ILP) products to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and product standards throughout the product lifecycle. The role will serve as a key point of contact for ILP product compliance matters, providing independent review, and compliance assessment.
The key role is to ensure that Investment-Linked Policy (ILP) products, customer disclosures, and product changes comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
- ILP Product Compliance
- Review ILP product documentation and customer-facing materials (e.g. Product Summaries, Benefit Illustrations, Policy Contracts, marketing materials, and policyholder notifications) on a regular basis and provide compliance guidance to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide independent compliance review and challenge on new ILP product launches, product enhancements, and material product changes, taking into consideration regulatory requirements, customer outcomes, and industry practices.
- Monitor regulatory developments and emerging compliance risks impacting ILP products, assess their implications, and support the implementation of necessary enhancements to product compliance frameworks, controls, and processes.
- Investment Operational Risk and Compliance
- Work closely within the Investment Operational Risk function to support a holistic review across ILP products and fund-compliance compliance matters.
- Support the continuous improvement of risk and compliance frameworks by identifying emerging risks, regulatory changes, and control enhancement opportunities across both ILP product compliance and investment operational risk management.
- Review investment-linked product risks and processes and recommend enhancements on the adequacy of the design of internal controls.
- Other Activities
- Work with team members to contribute to strategic projects relating to ILPs.
- Any regulatory reporting on ILP products
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in ILP product compliance.
- Familiarity with MAS regulations, notices and guidelines with respect to ILP products.
- Good communication and writing skills, able to present to and engage with different stakeholders.
- Team player with good interpersonal skill, able to work independently as well.
- Excellent analytical skills.
