Job Description

About the Role:

You will oversee inventory management activities including accuracy and traceability, inventory control and proposals for improvement, ageing/excess stock management, KPI monitoring, and reporting to support operational and finance stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain stock levels and manage replenishments for non-main storage locations; prepare and coordinate system and physical transfers with SCM partners.
  • Manage customer-traded-in assets after Sales disposition instructions (e.g., convert to demo assets, write-off) including approvals, system updates and physical transfers.
  • Review and release stocks tagged to sales orders when they are no longer required; coordinate with Sales Support and SCM.
  • Monitor inbound shipments for short shelf-life products and coordinate with Purchasing and MBCs for resolution when required.
  • Perform periodic reviews of ageing and discontinued stocks and present recommendations for write-off to management.
  • Consolidate and manage demo stock requests; arrange transfers and approvals for demo assets and maintain appropriate records.
  • Support ship-hold events by generating and distributing Open SO/Open DN/inventory reports and coordinating execution with SCM and 3PL providers.
  • Manage activities for Field Safety Corrective Actions (product recalls): provide traceability records, coordinate stop shipments, track affected product in transit, and support disposal and financial recovery processes (credit requests / Return PO coordination).
  • Coordinate marine cargo insurance matters with brokers, freight forwarders and surveyors when needed; support annual shipment submissions and work with Finance on policy renewal.
  • Support financial year-end by preparing inventory reports for auditors, reconciling inventory balances with Finance, and performing stock adjustments as required; resolve variances including those involving 3PLs.
  • Prepare regular inventory and ageing reports (finished goods and repair parts), generate month-end comparisons against budget, provide data for PowerBI/operational analysis, and support obsolescence reporting.
  • Support other operational tasks such as archiving inbound documents, logistics vendors invoice verification, continuous process improvement, team projects and manager-assigned tasks.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Tertiary education or equivalent practical experience in supply chain, logistics, or related fields.
  • 3+ years experience in inventory/materials management (including consumables with expiry and capital equipment handling).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Clear verbal and written communication and effective presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of SAP (MM and MRP) and Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and regional distribution center operations.
  • Familiarity with GDPMDS standards.
  • Experience working with KPIs for inventory management.
