Job Description


  • Prepare journals, financial transactions, invoices and new account opening request including appropriate action to clear incorrect entries in a timely manner and in accordance with University Policies.
  • Compile all financial periodic and year-end tasks as prescribed by the CFO, ensuring that all deadlines are met and information adheres to appropriate accounting standards, policies, and procedures and are communicated accordingly.
  • Provide reliable financial and contract interpretation advice and support to the Principal Investigator (PIs) and project teams through analysis and interpretation of complex contract terms and conditions and work closely with the grant funding body to resolve any financial or compliance related issues.
  • Ensure all grant records over the life of the project are kept up-to-date by maintaining project files, contract management system records (bring-ups), budgets and forecasts
  • Compile various reports and statements to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with legislative jurisdiction, accounting standards and pronouncements.
  • Manage and organise the scholarship stipends to HDR student (payout is 3.5 years)
  • Manage and monitor the MRF allocation and claim submission by HDR Students


  • Degree qualification in Finance or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training in financial/business management or accounting / commerce field
  • Demonstrated ability to review and analyze data and prepare reports while payment close attention to detail and observing and contractual conditions, policies and regulations that may apply
  • Demonstrated computer literacy proficiency with the use of desktop computer software particular Excel, Word and Corporate accounting applications
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills, utilizing analysis and problem solving skills to provide information and advice and deal effectively with complex issues.
  • Proven well-developed organizational and time management skills and the ability to work independently within deadlines and competing priorities and displaying initiative with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated well-developed written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with various stakeholders

Monthly Remuneration: Up to SGD 4,900
