Job Description
- Support monthly financial close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Assist with financial reporting processes and related regulatory submissions.
- Monitor operational system activities and coordinate resolution of exceptional items.
- Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and ageing reports to support business operations.
- Partner with distribution and business stakeholders to ensure accurate financial transactions and period bookings.
- Act as a finance representative for system enhancements, process improvements, and change initiatives.
- Support balance sheet reconciliations, substantiation activities, and finance control requirements.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification (completed or in progress) is advantageous.
- 2+ years of experience in finance operations, financial reporting, or accounting.
- Exposure to the insurance industry is highly preferred.
- Experience managing commission accounting, distribution-related expenses, or reconciliations is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with finance systems, process automation, or data analytic tools would be advantageous.
