The Senior Executive/Executive will play a key role in the planning, development and delivery of immersive guest experience initiatives across Singapore Oceanarium (SGO). This role combines strategic content development with strong project management capabilities, overseeing cross-functional initiatives from concept development through execution to enhance the visitor journey and enhance brand affinity.
Job Responsibilities:
Experience Development:
- Support the conceptualisation, planning and implementation of guest touchpoints designed to enhance the onsite visitor experience and deepen engagement with the brand.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including in-house designers, Animal Care and Education teams, Operations, and external consultants to deliver meaningful and scientifically accurate and impactful guest experiences.
- Apply visitor-centric design principles and audience insights to improve guest engagement, accessibility and satisfaction.
- Utilise user-centric design principles to enhance guest engagement and satisfaction.
- Conduct research to enhance the understanding and appreciation of ocean ecosystems, biodiversity and marine life.
Content Development:
- Develop exhibition narratives, species identification labels and other guest-facing interpretive materials.
- Assist in developing content for both onsite and digital touchpoints, based on scientific research for the public, through close collaboration across multiple teams.
- Take on an active role in reviewing and providing brand counsel on content creation across different teams in SGO.
- Be the subject matter expert on accurately interpreting scientific concepts and scholarly information in engaging content that is appropriate for the SGO brand, tone of voice and target demographic.
- Ensure all content is accessible, inclusive and suitable for a diverse audience.
Project Management/Support:
- Drive the collaborative planning, coordination and execution of multiple experience development projects simultaneously, from ideation through implementation.
- Develop project timelines, schedules, stakeholder alignment plans and milestone tracking to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content for SGO
- Provide support to cross-functional stakeholders, external agencies, consultants and vendors to ensure project objectives, scope and deliverables are met.
- Identify project risks, dependencies and operational considerations early, and proactively propose solutions.
- Support procurement processes, vendor evaluations, budget tracking and documentation where required.
- Ensure all project outputs meet brand, operational and guest experience standards.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Communications, Environmental Studies, Life Sciences, or any other relevant field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in project management, content development, brand experience in attractions, museums or related industries is preferred.
- Excellent storytelling, writing and content creation skills.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Excellent command of the English language, with similar proficiency in Mandarin will be advantageous, as content is developed in English and Mandarin.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management and organisational skills, with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities.
- Detail-oriented, proactive and solutions-driven mindset.
- Good interpersonal skills to build rapport with team members and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for marine life and conservation will have an added advantage.
