Job Description
You will be part of a dynamic team in NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, to organize, plan and execute the admissions exercise to candidates who are interested in the medicine undergraduate program. You will also provide administrative, secretarial and logistical support and guidance to the management, admissions committee and other stakeholders to facilitate effective implementation of the admissions processes.
The NUS Medicine admissions exercise consists of the Focused Skills Assessment (FSA) and the Situational Judgement Test (SJT).
- FSA –A series of mini interview stations that tests candidates ability to make ethical judgements and solve problems
- SJT – A series of questions based on real-life ethical encounters that requires candidates to rank a number of responses according to how appropriate they are.
Key Responsibilties
- Identify areas for process or service improvement and lead initiatives to enhance the admissions process and related procedures
- Manage vendors for events, software, and consultants to ensure seamless execution.
- Plan and implement the admissions assessment, including the Focused Skills Assessment (FSA) and Situational Judgement Test (SJT)
- Develop and refine scenarios for the FSA and SJT
- Organize workshops to develop scenarios and train assessors
- Analyze data and feedback from assessments for continuous improvement
- Develop outreach materials and coordinate outreach efforts to promote the program
- Organise outreach events such as Open House, Engagement Day etc.
- Communicating with potential students and parents about the school, program details, and admissions requirements.
- Provide secretariat support to the Admissions Committee
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders
- Some weekend work on event days
- Prior experience in admissions, event planning, or project management is preferred but not required (Fresh grads may apply)
