Lead and oversee end-to-end operations in the global freight forwarding department.
Promote relevant services and supply chain solutions to clients to deepen collaboration.
Monitor costs to optimize profitability and negotiate prices with vendors and carriers.
Project tenders/sales - prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations.
Review and verify documents including invoices, vendors invoices, contracts, and compliance before submission to relevant parties. Identify and resolve document discrepancies.
Driving stakeholder relationships as a key liaison between operations, finance, and external partners. Foster strong client relationships to deepen cooperation and collaboration.
Conduct/participate in monthly HOD/team meetings for AR matters, sales updates, operational matters, and project cadence meetings.
To ensure all COD customers payments are collected before releasing shipment to the customers.
Requirement:
At least 5 years of customer service experience in logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, and supply chain.
Good working knowledge of shipment coordination, freight documentation, Incoterms, and customs processes.
Able to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, agents, and internal stakeholders.
Responsible, cooperative and willing to assist colleagues when required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook and Word.
Candidates with hands-on experience in freight forwarding, import/export coordination, sea freight, air freight or shipping documentation will have an advantage.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Possess training and management skills is an added advantage.
Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required to communicate with customers and overseas stakeholders who primarily use Mandarin for business discussions and written correspondence.
Knowledge of using Sysfreight is an added advantage.
