Role Overview
You will be assigned to a portfolio of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), supporting end-to-end financial reporting and compliance. This role requires strong attention to detail, a hands-on approach to financial reporting and controls, and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Period-End Close
- Perform periodic closing activities for assigned SPVs, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and ledger updates; and
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with internal deadlines and accounting standards.
Cashflow Management
- Monitor daily cash positions to ensure sufficient funds for operations; and
- Prepare cashflow forecasts and flag any funding needs or surpluses.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Review annual corporate tax returns for accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements; and
- Support tax agents with required financial data.
Sub-Consolidation & Group Reporting
- Perform sub-consolidation for internal and statutory reporting purposes; and
- Assist with quarterly investor reports, including variance analysis.
Audit Support & Annual Reports
- Liaise with external auditors during year-end audits, ensuring timely and complete provision of audit requirements; and
- Prepare annual financial statements and supporting disclosures.
Corporate Secretarial Liaison
- Coordinate with the corporate secretary on board matters.
Process Improvement & System Enhancements
- Help design and implement reporting tools such as templates, dashboards, and data analytic solutions to improve reporting and insights
- Identify and recommend process improvements to strengthen controls, accuracy, and efficiency in financial workflows.
Internal Controls
- Perform regular checks and reconciliations in alignment with internal audit requirements; and
- Support the maintenance of a robust control environment across the SPV portfolio.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline;
- Minimum 7-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in real estate investments;
- Sound knowledge with IFRS/SFRS and experienced in preparing annual financial statements in line with disclosure and regulatory standards;
- Tech-savvy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; hands-on experience or strong appreciation for tools such as Power BI, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or other AI-driven solutions will be an advantage
- Experience with Yardi Property Management System is an added advantage but not a must
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage time-sensitive matters independently
- Strong communication skills for working with both internal and external stakeholders
- Mature, resourceful, and collaborative team player with a hands-on mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
