Job Summary
The Senior Executive, Arts & Marketing supports DES's productions, programmes, and marketing efforts through hands-on arts operations and marketing execution in a dynamic, small arts organisation.
Responsibilities
Arts Projects & Operations
- Coordinate DES productions and programmes for DES Arts and DES School to ensure seamless delivery of events
- Manage project timelines, logistics, venue arrangements, and artist coordination to meet production schedules
- Liaise with vendors, venues, and internal teams to facilitate smooth event execution
- Oversee event operations, rehearsals, and performance requirements to maintain quality standards
- Prepare post-event reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation for organisational review
Marketing Execution
- Execute marketing campaigns for productions and programmes to drive audience engagement and attendance
- Manage and update social media platforms, website content, and electronic direct mail (EDM) communications
- Coordinate production of marketing collaterals including posters, banners, and e-programmes with designers and vendors
- Monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of marketing materials
- Track and report audience engagement and response metrics to inform marketing strategies
Grants & Administration (Support Role)
- Support grant application and reporting processes by collating data and drafting required documents
- Maintain organised filing and documentation of projects and marketing materials for easy retrieval
- Assist in preparing sponsorship decks and reports to support funding and partnership efforts
Audience Development & Outreach
- Support outreach initiatives with schools, community groups, and partners to expand the audience base
- Assist in audience engagement activities and follow-up communications to build lasting relationships
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Arts Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in arts administration, events, marketing, or communications
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin to support bilingual engagement in marketing and outreach
- Competent in using social media platforms and basic digital marketing tools to execute campaigns effectively
- Strong organisational and coordination skills to manage multiple concurrent tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team environment
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Interest in the arts and experience working in an arts organisation is advantageous
Other Information
Working Hours
- 40 hours per week, 5-day work week
- Weekend and weeknight work required during performances, rehearsals, or events
