We're Hiring: Event Planner / Event Manager / Senior Event Manager
At Funco, we create events that bring people together! From family days and carnivals to dinner events, community celebrations, corporate gatherings, and customised experiences that are designed to be fun, memorable, and well executed.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Event Planner / Event Manager / Senior Event Manager to join our team.
This role is for someone who understands how events work. From the first client brief to concept creation, proposal development, planning, coordination, and final execution on-site.
We are looking for a strong team player, someone who can be the midfielder in the team: connecting the client, creative direction, operations, suppliers, and internal team so that every project moves smoothly towards a successful goal.
What You'll Be Involved In
• Managing client briefs, meetings, proposals, and account servicing
• Developing event concepts and ideas that are practical, creative, and client-focused
• Preparing proposals, costing support, timelines, and planning documents
• Coordinating with vendors, suppliers, designers, operations, and production teams
• Managing event schedules, deadlines, logistics, and on-site requirements
• Supporting sales conversations and identifying opportunities to grow accounts
• Understanding basic event technical needs, including audio, visual, lighting, staging, tentage, décor, environmental build-ups, and site flow
• Supporting event execution as a show producer, including pre-event show rundowns, on-site event cues, programme flow, team player to technical vendors and talents, as well as post-event evaluation
• Ensuring events are planned properly and delivered smoothly
What We're Looking For
• Ideally 3 to 4 years or more of hands-on experience in event management, event sales, client servicing, or event operations
• Experience in family days, carnivals, corporate events, dinner events, community events, or agency-style event work will be an advantage
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Able to manage clients professionally and understand their needs
• Comfortable with proposal writing, timelines, deadlines, and multi-tasking
• Organised, responsible, and able to follow through
• Creative, practical, and willing to learn continuously
• A team player who enjoys working in a fast-moving and fun environment
• Diploma/Degree in Events, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields will be preferred, but relevant industry experience matters most
