Backed by one of Asia's largest integrated financial groups, the firm provides a comprehensive suite of capital markets, investment banking, wealth management and institutional brokerage services to global institutional investors.

As the Singapore platform continues to grow, they are looking to appoint an experienced Institutional Equity Trader to strengthen their regional trading desk.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded institutional trading team covering multiple equity markets across Asia and the US.

You will play a key role in delivering best-in-class execution for institutional clients, providing market colour and trading insights, while working closely with sales, research and regional trading teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute institutional equity orders across global markets through OMS/EMS platforms using both manual and algorithmic execution strategies (VWAP, TWAP, Participation, etc.).
  • Deliver high-quality execution while achieving best execution standards and minimising market impact.
  • Monitor live market conditions, liquidity, volatility and order flow to optimise execution outcomes.
  • Produce timely market commentary and trading insights for institutional clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify trading opportunities through technical and market analysis.
  • Work closely with regional trading desks and overseas offices to coordinate execution and manage trading risks.
  • Build strong relationships with institutional clients by providing timely execution updates and market intelligence.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal controls, exchange regulations and MAS requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • 8-15 years of institutional equity trading experience gained within a bank, securities brokerage or investment firm.
  • Strong experience trading Asian equities, with exposure to US and/or Hong Kong markets highly preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of equity market structure, liquidity dynamics and electronic trading platforms.
  • Hands-on experience using Bloomberg, Reuters and institutional OMS/EMS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of algorithmic execution strategies and best execution practices.
  • MAS Capital Markets Services (CMS) Representative Licence is highly advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related discipline.
  • Professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin to communicate with regional stakeholders and institutional clients.
