TheSenior Equipment Engineerwill be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and readiness of wafer fabrication equipment to support new product introduction and transfer activities. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to qualify new processes, implement equipment upgrades, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet yield, cost, and cycle time targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead equipment readiness and process qualification for new product introductions.

  • Collaborate with Process Engineering and R&D teams to define equipment requirements and specifications.

  • Develop and execute equipment qualification plans, including installation, setup, and performance verification.

  • Maintain and improve equipment uptime, reliability, and performance metrics.

  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Drive preventive maintenance programs and optimize spare parts inventory.

  • Support technology transfer from development to high-volume manufacturing.

  • Implement equipment modifications or upgrades to meet new process requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Lead cost reduction and productivity enhancement projects.

  • Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering field

  • Minimum 5-8 years in semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment engineering

  • Hands-on experience with tool installation, qualification, and troubleshooting

  • Track record in new product transfer or technology introduction projects will be beneficial

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis methodologies

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

  • Flexibility to travel back and forth betweenSouth EastAsia and the USA(up to 30% of the time)
