What You Will Do
• Provide guidance to employees and management on the implementation of corporate EH&S policies and procedures to ensure full compliance.
• Drive compliance with regulatory and permit requirements through oversight of compliance calendars, standard work, and accurate reporting.
• Partner with line organization to implement EH&S programs, enhancing awareness and performance against established goals.
• Lead initiatives to promote a safe, injury-free workplace environment.
• Conduct risk assessments with relevant stakeholders and recommend appropriate risk control measures.
• Coordinate EH&S emergency preparedness activities, including training, drills, and exercises for employees and management.
• Provide EH&S technical support across engineering development, process improvements, risk assessments, pollution prevention, chemical management, and contractor safety.
• Review risk assessments and incident reports, ensuring thorough investigations, root cause analysis, and timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and manage EH&S audit and inspection programs to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
• Support EH&S Council activities, including driving proactive improvement initiatives and projects.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have
• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant EH&S experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
• Registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
• Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements and EH&S compliance standards.
Qualifications We Prefer
• Experience in implementation and maintenance of ISO management systems (e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Prior experience in a large MNC industrial or manufacturing facility.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coach and develop junior staff.
