Senior Engineering Officer (Fiber-related work)
- Responsible for operation of Singtel Fiber Testing and Fiber Rectification work for various customer.
- Able to perform fiber testing with handheld equipment OTDR, Power Meter and Light Source, CD/PMD and other fiber tools.
- Able to work in various environments such as Data Centers, commercials and HDB MDF Room and Rooftop.
- Will be required to be activated after office hours when necessary to rectify faults related to consumer services (Dark Fiber, GPON and other products)
- Progressively update direct supervisor on daily work assignment and update relevant documentation
- To ensure the contractors follow safety procedure in accordance with the work health and safety act (WHSA) and to use appropriate safety equipment so as to complete the assigned job efficiently and safely.
- To be on standby and attend to fiber cable faults related to fiber diversion works.
- To liaise with building management for the fiber cable diversion works.
- Responsible for all fiber cable diversion works including those in conjunction with road diversion and major government agencies.
Skills for Success:
- Singapore-based applicants: Fresh grads with Nitec/Higher Nitec only in Electronics Engineering/Telecommunications or in relevant field.
- Malaysia-based applicants: Fresh grads with Diploma only in Electronics Engineering/Telecommunications or in relevant field are highly welcome to apply
- Possession of a Class 3 driving license or owns a private vehicle would be an added advantage (For SG-based applicants).
- Comfortable with working outside of office
- Able to work during non-office hours on an occasional basis and be on 24 x 7 hours standby alert for ad-hoc faults, whenever needed.
- Good working knowledge of PC applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills, keen to learn and a team player
- Basic knowledge in data communication (wired, wireless), internet security and home automation.
- Experience with face-to-face interaction / counter operations is an added advantage.
- Experience in partner and vendor management is a plus
- Both full-time and contract role(s) are available
