Brief Summary
We are seeking an innovative and dedicated engineer to oversee M&E operations in a commercial building, ensuring systems are managed effectively and assist with solutions to challenges.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of M&E technicians, providing guidance on troubleshooting and daily operations. Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of Mechanical & Electrical systems, including ACMV, electrical power, fire protection, BMS, and plumbing systems. Conduct regular inspections of M&E facilities to ensure safety and optimal operation, recommending repairs or replacements as necessary. Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive maintenance programmes to ensure compliance with schedules and industry standards. Review and certify service reports and contractors claims before payment. Administer maintenance contracts, including preparation of specifications and evaluation of tenders. Manage ad-hoc repair projects, including scope preparation and contractor supervision. Plan and execute M&E Capital Expenditure projects, overseeing budgeting and completion. Evaluate tenants fit-out and renovation submissions for compliance with regulations and design standards. Respond to tenant feedback and maintenance requests, ensuring efficient rectification with minimal disruption. Monitor utilities consumption and prepare reports, recommending energy-saving initiatives. Ensure timely renewal of all statutory licenses and compliance with regulatory requirements related to M&E systems. Maintain proper documentation for maintenance activities and regulatory compliance. Perform additional responsibilities or projects as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. High level of initiative coupled with solid interpersonal and communication skills.
